WITH THEIR Top 20 debut single 'XO', and follow-up single 'Catch', Cork quartet The Elation are no longer a secret, but a rising name in Irish rock, a trend that looks set to continue with their latest single.
The band - who play Monroe's Live next month - have released 'Feels Like a Good Reason to Get Started', proceeds from the sale of the single go towards the Cork Gay Project. The song was produced and recorded with multi-platinum selling London producer Andy Whitmore.
The Elation's pop/rock sound has been compared to The Killers, The 1975, and Chic, in how they mix energy, funky guitars, and 'aimed square at the dance floor' synths. They have played the Townlands Carnival, Indiependence, and Cork Pride, as well as college events across the country.
The Elation play Monroe’s Live on Friday September 1 at 10pm. Tickets are €10. See www.monroes.ie 'Feels Like a Good Reason to Get Started' is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Store, and www.theelationmusic.com
