The annual exhibition of Jim Kavanagh’s Art School students is currently on show at the Market Street Gallery (the old Connacht Tribune Print Works ).

The show is in tandem with an exhibition of Jim’s own work. This is always an exciting time to showcase the fruit and labour of the students' hard work and commitment during the academic year. The theme of this year’s show is paintings of close-up details of works by famous artists.

Jim runs his well established art school near Annaghdown, and he is currently enrolling for new classes starting in September. The open evening for the show is Friday, September 4, from 6pm to 8pm, and it is also a fundraising evening for the charity COPE Galway.

All are welcome to attend. Jim's students' show runs from August 24 to September 12, from 11am to 6pm, but is closed on Mondays.

For more information see 'Galway Art Classes' on Facebook or phone Jim on 086 0881307.
