Family concert of Javanese music

THE ENTRANCING sound of the Javanese gamelan will fill St Patrick’s Brass Band Hall this Sunday at the next Adventures In Music family concert.
The Javanese gamelan is a bronze percussion-based instrument. The 12 member Gamelan na Gaillimhe will perform traditional and classical Javanese music on these bronze metallophones, gongs, and drums.
The audience will get an opportunity to try some of instruments under the guidance of GnaG members.
Doors open at 2pm for children’s pre-concert activities, 2.30pm is the concert, and 3.15pm is a meet the musicians session.
Tickets are €5 per person, children under two go free. A family ticket is €20, available at the door and through mykidstime.ie
