Elwoods Steak and Seafood Grill , located in the Forster Court Hotel, has announced the appointment of Padraic Casserly as Head Chef.
With more than 15 years experience in the hotel and catering industry, Padraic Casserly has been appointed Head Chef at Elwoods Steak and Seafood Grill. He joined the team at Elwoods earlier this year from his previous position as Executive Head Chef at another establishment. Mr Casserly, known for his creative culinary flare, brings with him a wealth of experience to this new role.
A Galway native, he assumed his first kitchen position at the age of 13 and went on to train professionally at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, where he picked up numerous culinary awards. Mr Casserly brings to Elwoods a real passion for creating new and exciting dishes using only the finest locally sourced produce.
“We are so lucky to have the freshest produce on our doorstep,” he said, “and I am very excited to use only the best Galway Bay seafood and the highest grade dry aged beef in all of our new dishes”. Elwoods will be celebrating their first year anniversary early in March and to celebrate, he will be introducing a new menu with increased emphases on steak and seafood.
Elwoods Steak and Seafood and Grill is located at the Forster Court Hotel, on Forster Street, just off Eyre Square in the heart of Galway city.
