Red Hot Chilli Pipers bring bags of attitude

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers 20th anniversary world tour arrives at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, May 11, at 7:30pm, bringing a blast of their legendary ‘bagrock’.

The Pipers’ ground-breaking fusion of bagpipes with attitude, with fiery Scottish drumming, delivers pop and rock anthems with a bombastic twist.

From ‘Thunderstruck’ to ‘Insomnia’, ‘We Will Rock You’ to their own original compositions, the Pipers showcase an eclectic repertoire with boundless energy.

Since their inception in 2002, and a memorable cameo alongside The Darkness at T in the Park festival in 2004, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have forged an unparalleled path in the music world. From humble beginnings to headlining their own main stage event in 2014, the past two decades have witnessed a meteoric rise.

Boasting an impressive ensemble of musicians, dancers, and singers - many holding prestigious World Championship titles – the performers have solidified their reputation as exceptional artists.

In 2014, they released Live at the Lake, capturing a live session at their spiritual home, the renowned Milwaukee Irish Festival.

Continuing their streak of musical collaborations, they teamed up with Tom Walker in 2019 to release a new version of his hit single ‘Leave a Light On’, which soared into the iTunes top five.

In 2019, the Pipers unveiled their studio album, Fresh Air of original songs and carefully curated covers.

Accompanying their milestone 20 year celebration was the release of their Best Of Live album in the spring of 2023, featuring fresh recordings of their favourite tunes and anthems.
