South Galway Bay Music Festival July, 28th 29th & 30th, 2023

Gather together to celebrate music and dance in Ballinderreen GAA grounds, South Galway H91 TC65.

After a very successful inaugural event in 2022 the South Galway Bay Music Festival returns for its 2nd year! A 3 night Music Festival, with music to suit all ages from July, 28th to 30th, hosted by Ballinderreen GAA Club.

In the 1950s and 60s, the village of Ballinderreen in Co Galway was a firm fixture on touring maps for the showbands who travelled the length and breadth of the country. The South Galway Bay Music Festival revived that spirit.

The festival is run by a group of energetic volunteers from Ballinderreen GAA with support from our many local sponsors. Any proceeds from the event go back into the development of our New Multipurpose Gym facility in Ballinderreen GAA grounds.

Organiser Mattie Larkin said “Ballinderreen GAA club hosted the inaugural South Galway Bay Music Festival in July 2022. A leap into the unknown and huge undertaking. The music was brilliant and the craic was mighty, everyone who attended had an absolute blast and told us in no uncertain terms that we had to go again. We’ve taken that advice and will use all the knowledge and experience gained to make the south Galway bay music Festival bigger and better for 2023”
