Fidget Feet are thrilled to be bringing their new show House! to Athenry, Co. Galway on 14th and 15th May. Funded by Galway County Council, Clare County Council, Limerick City & County Council, and the Arts Council, this thrilling show is suitable for anyone from 6 to 96. There is something for everyone and will bring joy to many faces. Our partnership with the Galway County Council has been crucial to produce House!. Their investment and support of events of this scale is wonderful and their commitment to connect Fidget Feet to local communities has been vital to the success of the event.
What is unique about this show is not only do the audience get to play bingo in the comfort of their own car with real spot prizes sponsored by local business but they also get to enjoy Fidget Feet aerialists fly 40 meters in the air from a crane with bingo balls! Fidget Feet have engaged with the local community to encourage local groups and individuals to perform with us in the show. That is what makes this show so special especially after Ireland's long social distancing measures and Covid restrictions. House! brings a refreshing uplifting show that gets the audience out of their cars and dancing with our local street dancers, stilt walkers, marching bands and much, much more.
Fidget Feet’s engagement officer Oran Long has been working with Máire Daly from Athenry to recruit local individuals and groups to take part in House! workshops, open days and rehearsals to perform in the Galway shows. We’ll have Gliondar Community Arts Group, Donal McConnon and a troupe of musicians, Dance It Out Ireland performing alongside Fidget Feet performers.
