While most eyes this weekend will be focused on the goings on in Newry on Saturday night for club players in the junior championship - it is all about what will happen on Sunday. There are 20 championship games taking place in the Junior A, B and C championships on Sunday afternoon across the county.

As this paper went to print last night (Thursday) Castlebar Celtic will have been in action looking to keep up their 100 per cent record in the Super League when they hosted local rivals Manulla in Celtic Park. There were three games in the top flight last night, that will affect the look of the division at both the top and bottom of the table.

The Castlebar Greenway 10 miler takes place on Sunday on an out and back course starting and finishing at Castlebar town park and includes eight miles (traffic free) along the Greenway, criss crossing bridges over the Castlebar river, with a two mile loop on public roads through Turlough village via the Round Tower.
