A Galway man, with 15 previous convictions, was before Castlebar District Court on Wednesday after he removed two planks of scaffolding from the Castlebar Garda compound and placed them in his trailer after he retrieved his impounded car.

French and Spanish summer camps

Following the success of the French interaction camps for secondary school students, this summer Gort Ard, Salthill, is adding a Spanish camp. The camps are a unique blend of language teaching and activities, together with French or Spanish students attending a parallel English language course.
