Swinford St Patrick's Day parade
The 67th Swinford St Patrick's Day parade will be held on Saturday, March 17. The parade will commence from the Swinford Amenity Park at 3pm. The parade organisers invite everyone in Swinford to get out and celebrate the day and to co-operate with the organisers and gardai to ensure that everybody has an enjoyable and safe day. The prize giving presentation for the winners of the parade awards will take place on Sunday, March 18, in the Gateway Hotel in Swinford at 8pm.

Talk on pension reform for women in Claremorris
A talk on pension rights for women will be held in Curam, Claremorris, on February 7 at 7.30pm. Hosted by the Claremorris Women’s Group, the issue of women not qualifying for the full State pension will be discussed by speakers from the National Women’s Council of Ireland, MABS, and Citizens Information. Mayo Organic Group
Mayo Organic Group's October exciting meeting will take place at a new venue for them - Westport Town Hall, at 7.30pm on Thursday October 20. This will feature a brief introduction to edible Irish seaweeds, by knowledgeable Mulranny resident, Cheryl Cobern Browne. Cobern Browne is also an artist, a seaweed forager, and guide, and runs a wonderful art centre just outside Mulranny. Please note the new start time. As always, guests and new members are most welcome, so spread the word. And don't forget that, in addition to the charity raffle, there is a give-away table, members' library, and refreshments. The 2016-2017 Camera Club season begins on Wednesday, September 21. Swinford Camera Club meetings resume again from the third Wednesday in September. As always new members are very welcome to join the club. Swinford Camera Club is a friendly, helpful and very welcoming group. We meet every first and third Wednesday evening at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel. Why not come along to a meeting?
