Stroll for Brendan coming up in Castlebar

Stroll for Brendan is a charity walk in memory of the late Brendan Henaghan, former Mayor of Castlebar. The walk will start at St Gerald's College Sports Hall at 2pm, Sunday February 17 - registration from 12pm - followed by a tree-planting ceremony at Lough Lannagh and short prayers at Brendan's grave.

A call-out has been issued to remind all organisations across the town and county to get involved in Castlebar's Annual St Patricks Day parade, taking place on Sunday March 17.
According to the organising committee, the event will start promptly at 2pm at its usual starting point at MacHale Road in the town. Participants, floats and bands are asked to assemble at the Sportlann end of McHale Road at 1.15pm.
