Public urged to be vigilant as phone directory deliveries take place

Fine Gael town councillor Ger Deere has warned local residents to be vigilant as the annual phone books are being delivered. The books are also being delivered to premises that may be derelict and houses that are unoccupied.

“These pose a risk in terms of litter problems as the rain and wind may end up causing them to deteriorate and blow all over the place. They also act as a signal to burglars that houses may be unoccupied,” Cllr Deere said.
