Ring to question Government on plans for new tax on rural families

Fine Gael Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Spokesperson, Michael Ring TD, has said he will be questioning the Government in the Dáil on plans to abolish a tax exemption for parents who wish to pass on small plots of land to their children. Deputy Ring said that such a move would be an attack on rural families.

The Mayo Pink Ribbon appeal will hold a 100km Leisure Cycle on Saturday May 1 with Enda Kenny TD donning the pink jersey to lead a team of 100 plus cyclists in a special fundraising event in support of The National Breast Cancer Research Institute. Starting officials for the day will be Mayo’s own Roses of Tralee, Marita Staunton and Luzveminda O’Sullivan.
