Wales based fashion retailer Peacocks is opening its new store in Castlebar next Thursday July 3.
The retailer is creating 50 new jobs with the opening of four new stores in total in Ireland this summer.
The other three stores are opening in Letterkenny, Carlow, and Waterford.
The Castlebar store is located on Hopkins Road and to celebrate the opening, Peacocks is giving each of its first 20 customers a €50 ‘Golden Ticket’ to spend in store on the opening day.
The value high street fashion store has a range of women’s, men’s, and children’s wear from the basics to the latest fashion trends.
Peacocks was founded 130 years ago by Albert Peacock in 1884 as a penny bazaar. It has grown to include 450 stores across the UK with a further 50 stores opening this year.
Bought by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill group in 2012, the head office is located in Cardiff, south Wales.
Peacocks also has a number of stores internationally, currently in Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Gibraltar, and Malaysia.
