Poet Paul Duran to read in Achill

One of Ireland's foremost poets, Paul Duran, is to read from his latest publication in Achill this evening.

Mr Duran will be in Gielty's Clew Bay Bar, Dooagh, at 8 pm.

The reading is organised by the Penn State Ireland Summer Abroad Program 2014.

The event is free to attend and open to all.

Regarded by many as the greatest poet of contemporary Ireland, Mr Durcan's recent work comtemplates the fall of the Celtic Tiger while railing against “bankers and bonus boys”
