New physical activity project for Crossmolina/Killala areas

Do you want some help to keep a new year’s resolution to get fit this year? If you are aged 55 or over and live in the Crossmolina/Killala/Ballycastle area, you can get involved in an exciting new physical activity project which is being co-ordinated by the Mayo Sports Partnership and HSE West, in association with local community centres, local health professionals, and community groups.

The project starts off with a fun activity day on Thursday January 22 in Crossmolina GAA Centre from 10am to 12.30pm, and in Killala Community Centre from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and you do not need to be fit or physically active. Activities will include bowling, curling, balance/co-ordination games, and exercise to music. The day will be facilitated by trained health professionals. Just wear loose, comfortable, clothing and call in.

For further information on the project contact Mayo Sports Partnership at 094 904 7025 or Health Promotion Services, HSE West, at 094 904 2589.
