Volvo wins Best Premium Car at Fleet News awards

Volvo’s S60 and V60 models have been named Best Premium Car of the Year by leading business sales publication Fleet News at an award ceremony in the UK, beating the Audi A4 and A6 and BMW 3-Series.

Along with winning the Fleet News Premium Car of the Year, the Swedish car maker was shortlisted in two further categories - New Company Car of the Year with the S60 and V60 models and Best Crossover with the XC60.

Volvo’s recent range of more fuel efficient engines.the quality, desirability and reliability of its premium cars, and the efficiency of its ‘Designed Around You And Your Business’ fleet solutions were all key factors in winning the award.

It marks a flying start to 2014 for Volvo Car UK and Volvo Car Ireland as the company brings to market new, class-leading versions of the Volvo V60 with a new D4 engine that emits a class-leading 99g/km CO2 while producing 181hp. The new D4 engine will be available in the popular V40 five-door hatchback later this year in Ireland, providing business customers with even more choice.
