A 26-year-old Ballina man appeared in Swinford District Court this morning charged in connection with the killing of two brothers, Jack and Tom Blaine in their home in New Antrim Street, Castlebar this week.

Alan Cawley with an address at Four Winds, Corrimbla South, Ballina, Co Mayo who was dressed in a salmon coloured hoody and grey tracksuit bottoms, did not speak at this morning's court hearing and was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown Court next Friday, July 19.

Detective Sergeant Gary Walsh gave evidence of charging Cawley last night in Castlebar Garda Station at 1.08am.
