A Mayo native who has been missing for the past eight months from his home in Gort was found in a disorientated state at the side of the road near Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, on Tuesday night.
Kevin Michael McGeever (68 ) told gardaí that he had been dropped off by a van but was not able to provide any detail of where he was for the past few months. Mr McGeever had a phone and torch in possession when he was found.
Mr McGeever had successfully traded property in Dubai during the boom.
