Straide Community Development Group launched five Straide Gathering Christmas cards. The cards are of five local Straide scenes in the snow with greetings in Irish and English. It is hoped the cards will be sent all over the globe and help in promoting the dates of the Straide Community Gathering next year.
The Straide Gathering Celebrations are planned from August 1 to 4 2013. The people of Straide are no strangers to emigration and next year it is hoped to reunite families and friends back home in Straide for a long weekend of celebrations.
