Gnó Mhaigh Eo in association with its partners is launching a comórtas for businesses all over Maigh Eo. Gradam Gnó le Gaeilge is open to businesses which use Gaeilge in their business. Do you know of any business where you can receive a seirbhís through the medium of Irish? Any business where the staff speak Irish to you? Do you know of any business that uses Irish in its fógraíocht? Any business that has Irish in its cártaí gnó? Do you know of any business that uses Irish in its branding, or on its suíomh idirlín?

Or do you have your own gnó? Do you use Irish at all in your business? In the signage that you use mar shampla? Is any part of your website in Irish? Is there any member of your staff who can speak Irish? Do you sell any Irish language products - leabhair, cluichí, etc? You can nominate your own business or another business for this gradam.

The prizes have a value of €7,000. Included in the prizes are advertising for your gnó with the Mayo Advertiser, advertising with Midwest Radio, design and print with Cashin Print, a mentoring course with Mayo County Enterprise Board and an Irish language course with Gnó Mhaigh Eo. Maybe you are thinking ‘why should I use Irish in my business?’ There are many advantages of doing this. Using the language can create a distinctive íomhá and signal a commitment to quality and excellence. Irish can help a company’s authentic Irish image, and Irish ownership.
