A two-hour long DVD of the Wallace Bicentenary Gala Concert in St Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, in September is now on sale in the Pastoral Centre and local shops, or from members of the committee (Margaret Harrison, Terry Reilly, Liam MacHale, Michael Hogan, Pat Diamond, Barry McLoughlin ).
It features the full concert, with additional details and images of the musical Wallaces, who were from the Ballina area. William Vincent Wallaces was one of the great composers of the 19th century. Price is only €10 and the package makes a wonderful Christmas present.
