For those of you that have seen Adebisi Shank in the past know that the myth is very true! Troubadours of instrumental weirdness the Wexford three piece are one of the biggest independent bands in the country right now. They have toured all over the world, recently visiting Japan and seem to gain new fans wherever they go. Their energetic, polyrhythmic, precision based music is firmly rooted in the DIY ethos and their experimentation and ideas seem to have no bounds. Their debut album ‘This is the album of a band called Adebisi Shank’ is now on sale. A set of energetic and downright entertaining music is guaranteed. This is such unique opportunity to see one of the current greats right on your door step in Castlebar this halloween. And the fun doesnt stop here either, if you thought having Adebisi Shank on the bill wasnt enough The Cast of Cheers have just being announced to play along side on the night!! Who would have that these two giant independent acts would share the same bill together!!

Cast Of Cheers unleashed a ballsy post-punk racket that's every bit as impressive as their moniker. Describing themselves as sounding "like the end of the world and dancing", the band have decided to offer there superb debut album 'Chariot' for free. A raucous assault of angular riffs and insistent vocals, it's what Death From Above 1979 might sound like if they were trapped in a lift with Battles and Foals. Get there early and jump around to these guys.? Completely overwhelmed by the response by the bands recently released album "Chariot" The band frontman stated that it's been amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better reception. It's made us really excited for the live shows.?The cast of Cheers set out by offering there debut album online for free download. People have being essentially presented with a fully formed band rather then being offered snippets of a new band before an album has even been thought about. The band have recently located to London to record their second album which is due for release early 2012. Lafaro who are also on the bill have just released their brand new album "Easy Meat"

It's useless to fight LaFaro if you are attacked. If they have you between their jaws they will not let go. If you do decide to put up a fight, LaFaro are likely to do a death roll. Polar opposite to the delicate poise of the influential jazz bassist Scott LaFaro from which this Belfast quartet take their name, LaFaro are a wrecking ball of a band. Their rhythmic post-hardcore is designed to pulve...rize dance floors and leave no bottle of beer undrunk - this is music as it should be 'We hark back to time when rock music was still fun' states lead rabble-rouser Johnny Black. So get ready for Castlebars largest halloween Ball this Friday night at the Clubhouse Castlebar Celtic two of Irelands best live bands together along with Lafaro, So Cow and We Come in Pieces, Loads of prizes for best dressed and lots of drink promotions on the night and dont forget The Michael Jackson Dance Off! ??
