Mayo calls on self starters and leaders

Junior Chamber International Ireland (JCI ) is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic people who are self driven, motivated, and interested in increasing their exploitable skills set to become a member of a new JCI branch which is being set up in Castlebar. These people are required to drive local change through the assistance of JCI Ireland.

JCI or Junior Chamber International is a dynamic international community of young people in their 20s and 30s with the aim of providing development opportunities that empower its members to create positive change. With a network of more than 200,000 active members and millions of alumni participating in more than 6,000 local organisations across the world, JCI is a place where young leaders and entrepreneurs meet, learn, and grow.

JCI members are individuals who want to succeed, who want to be better and who want to improve the world in a positive and proactive way. Members come from all walks of life; from university students to corporate executives, from self employed professionals and business people to employees of multinationals or state organisations, but all share a common goal in terms of self improvement and contribution to society.

Getting involved with JCI offers an ideal opportunity for individuals to expand both their personal and professional networks, to get involved and give something back to the community, to have fun and to develop the skills to help them in their personal and professional life.

There are four areas within the organisation where members can get involved — individual, international, community, and business. Opportunities to organise projects and/or participate in training programmes are conducted in each area.

So if you are between 18 and 40 and feel you would like to get involved in a vibrant organisation then contact [email protected] or visit www.jci-ireland.org You can also find them on Facebook and LinkedIn by just searching for JCI Mayo. The first meeting will be held on Thursday evening, May 26, in the Harlequin Hotel Castlebar at 7.30pm.
