It wouldn’t be summer without a Daniel O’Donnell show

This July one of Ireland’s favourite performers, Daniel O’Donnell, will be back in the Royal Theatre Castlebar for a special summer concert on July 16.

Donegal’s favourite son, Daniel O’Donnell needs no introduction to audiences. His last appearance in Castlebar in July 2010 saw him sing a duet with Susan Boyle, much to the delight of a surprised audience. Daniel’s success has spread far beyond his native shores and he is a major figure in the music scene in Europe, North America, and the UK. In fact, such has been his impact in Britain that in 2002, he was awarded an honorary MBE for his services to the music industry. However, Daniel himself has declared that the award which he holds dearest to his heart is being named as Donegal Person of the Year in 1989. He has had 20 UK Top 40 albums as well as 15 Top 40 singles and has sold 10 million albums worldwide.
