This year’s 2011 Manchester Irish Festival is to stage a special exhibition entitled We Love Mayo which it hopes will boost tourism in the county.
The show will feature photographs which reflect the natural beauty of the county along with images that reflect its cultural heritage, festivals, music, or love of its beloved Gaelic football team. They are looking for contributions from amateur and professional photographers from around the world.
Entries need to be emailed to [email protected] by January 31. The images should be at least one MB in size and should be sent in a jpeg format. A brief description of the photograph should be sent with the photograph and the name of the photographer.
The festival which is one of the biggest Irish festivals in Europe has more than 200 events and runs from Friday March 4 to Sunday March 20.
