Wintry showers are expected once again in the west over the weekend.
According to Met Éireann the Connacht region on Friday will see cold and frost linger in the morning, with fog slow to clear. It will be another cold day with highest temperatures of only 1 or 2 degrees and moderate north-easterly winds. Temperatures will then rise to 3 degrees on Saturday and 4 degrees on Sunday.
However, this cold spell will change again next week as heavy rain and showers are expected.
