Croagh Patrick a winner in west’s seven wonders

Croagh Patrick has been selected as a winner in the Seven Wonders of the West competition, run recently by the Western Development Commission.

“It must have been an extremely difficult choice because the shortlist included so many iconic sites, stunning landscapes, festivals, events, and a number of unique experiences that made our region really special,” said Joanne Grehen, WDC regional development executive.

More than 1,800 votes were cast by members of the public in the campaign to find the Western Region's unique 'wonders', as promoted via LookWest.ie - a one stop shop for people and businesses thinking about relocating to the Western Region.

“The airport was delighted to be involved with the Seven Wonders of the West campaign,” said Donal Healy, sales and marketing manager at Ireland West Airport Knock. “The west of Ireland really has some truly wonderful sights and attractions which to many remain undiscovered and unseen and this campaign helps to highlight the many wonderful attractions that the west of Ireland has to offer.”
