Appeal and reward offered for help in ten year search for Killala woman

Crimestoppers and the Garda have launched a joint appeal for information on the disappearance of Killala woman Sandra Collins following her 10 anniversary this week as a missing person since December 4 2000.

“We know that Sandra visited a shop in Killala at 7.45pm on December 4 and was last seen in a take away shop on George’s Street at 11pm,” said Superintendent Peter O’Boyle this week. “We are very anxious to find out Sandra’s whereabouts between 7.45pm and 11pm and at any time during the day or night of her disappearance.

“If you saw Sandra between those times, either on her own or with someone else, but were unable to come forward at the time, please do so now.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25. Calls are free and anonymous and callers do not need to leave their name or address, but may receive a reward for information which significantly helps the investigation, according to the gardaí.
