Get ready for the CARI chocolate challenge in association with Finbar Hoban presents

Finbar Hoban Presents, in association with Karen Conway, announces the fourth annual CARI music night fundraiser with music from Kildare group Miracle Bell and Oddsocks Revival plus guests. The event will take place in Bar Ritz, Main Street Castlebar tomorrow evening, October 9.

Previous years have seen the fundraising event hold a cream cracker challenge, but this year it was decided to branch out and go for the chocolate challenge. So your support for among others Bernard Cattigan, Shane Cunningham, Sheila Cunningham, Hassan Dabbagh, Noreen Heston, Jim Larkin, Joe Maher, Noreen Moran, James Murray, Philip McDonagh, and Alan Reilly would be much appreciated. Between them they will decide whether they are going to see how many Snowballs they can eat in a minute or how fast an individual one can be eaten, as it has really become their own personal challenge to raise money for CARI - well done to all.

Further to playing commendable support to Dolorentos earlier in August, Kildare band Miracle Bell have generously agreed to return to Bar Ritz to headline the fundraiser.

Having kindly forgone their usual fee, they are travelling to Castlebar all the way from Kildare solely to give their support to the CARI fundraising event. Many enjoyed their last Bar Ritz appearance and eagerly sought Miracle Bell’s debut album, Light Shape Sound, born from collaborations with Republic of Loose and Delorentos’ producer Gareth Mannix.

For a taster of the talents of Miracle Bell, their current single ‘Love Sounds’ is available to download from iTunes and other songs are available through Miracle Bell on www.myspace.com/miraclebell This event is as much to spread information on CARI for those families who need it, as well as raising much needed funds for CARI which provides nation-wide counselling and support services for sexually abused children and their non-abusing family members. Further information on CARI can be obtained from www.cari.ie or they can be contacted on Freephone 1890 924 567.
