GMIT entrepreneur seminar not to be missed

The Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC ) at GMIT Castlebar is staging a Spirit of Entrepreneurship evening, sponsored by Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland, on Thursday September 30 next.

At the event being held as part of Mayo Ideas Week, IiBC client companies will showcase their start-up businesses while two entrepreneurs, Jonathan Ruane of Eventovate (technology ) and Leonard Moran of Ovagen (biolabs ), will speak about their experiences of setting up in business.

Participating IiBc companies include AnaCores, designer of integrated circuits for microchips; ATFM Solutions, product based solutions for business and data processing; Destine, a community support network of parents and professionals involved with children in education; Eternal Ireland Gifts, specialising in high quality Irish Family Heritage products for export; eMedia, award-winning interactive media design company, specialising in 3D medical animations; InTime Media, combining television, mobile phones and InTime’s apps; Messaging365, direct mobile marketing and mobile self-service solutions; Ordú Ltd, customised software; PMG Consult, economic and management advice services; Powersavvy, developer of innovative, low cost, electricity consumption; The Discovery Partnership, network of experienced, professional, management consultants and business advisers; The Water Guardian, a litre reservoir for hanging baskets; Take it Easy health and wellness, currently developing a female libido (sexual energy ) boosting device; and Warface, solving online piracy for the gaming industry.
