Gain for a qualification in hairdressing

As the Leaving Cert results arrived and CAO points were announced, the Irish College of Hairdressing in Galway saw a major rise in requests for information on its website for the College's City and Guilds international qualification in hairdressing. The course starting in September is now almost full and the first offer for places in the January course already issued to a number of students.

Many students are attracted to the course at the Irish College of Hairdressing as it gives them the opportunity to be fully qualified as a hairdresser and in full time employment in only seven months. The course is also proving popular with those keen on re-entering the workforce and wanting a career that is flexible around their children's school and holiday schedules. Hairdressing is one of the few careers where there is nearly complete flexibility on working hours and working location. Similarly for those who have been made redundant, they are seeing the professional international qualification gained at the college from City and Guilds as a new beginning that could possibly take them to foreign shores for work and travel.

Irish College of Hairdressing boasts a 100 per cent pass rate for past students with more than 75 per cent achieving distinction following their training at the college, which operates from a modern purpose built training centre in Galway. Hairdressing trainers at the college are among the best in the country and students benefit from the extensive one-to-one training time that is available, giving each person the opportunity to hone his/her skills and knowledge. This dedicated time for each student is a key element in the college’s excellent track record for results.

Part-funding was announced recently for the course starting in September and this has been extended to a limited number of applicants deferring their start date to the January course. Full details on the level of funding available is available directly from the college at 091 761 445 or from [email protected]. Website is at www.irishcollegeofhairdressing.com
