Donkey Day

The Museum of Country Life, Turlough will hold a Donkey Day on Thursday August 19 from 11am to 4pm.

The Donkey Sanctuary in Cork, joined by guests from the Sligo Donkey Sanctuary as well as local enthusiasts, will host the day.

At 11am and 2pm join a farrier for a live demonstration of donkey feet trimming. From 11am to 12.20pm and from 2.30pm to 4pm, join Linda Thompson at the donkey enclosure who will introduce the donkeys and answer any queries.

From 2.30pm to 3.45pm, Paddy Barrett, PR manager of the donkey sanctuary, will talk about the role of the donkey, past and present. Questions and answers will follow with the donkey sanctuary team.
