New gardaí will be taking up station in Balla, Ballycastle, Ballindine, and Hollymount in the coming weeks. Deputy O’Mahony has welcomed the appointments, stating that it is vital that people in rural areas have a Garda service from within their own communities.
Deputy O’Mahony also expressed the hope that a garda would be appointed to Kilmaine in the near future.
