Westport councillor’s script selected for Hollywood Web TV series

A short work by a Westport town councillor and aspiring screenwriter, Councillor Keith Martin, is to be produced by the producer of the Die Hard films after Cllr Martin was selected as one of six winning entries in the Scripped.com script writing competition.

The short script, entitled Car Alarmed, was selected by Hollywood producer Steven E De Souza. In addition to a small cash prize, the script will be produced as part of the second series of the hit US internet TV series Unknown Sender.

The internet series, which is hosted on Strike TV, was set up during the American writers’ strike in 2008. The premise of the series is that the episodes are suspense or sci-fi stories and are all viewed through CCTV, surveillance cameras, and other hidden cameras, and each story has a twist in the tale.

Cllr Martin’s script will be filmed later in the year and will then be available to view on the web.
