Billy the Bird to launch Ballina’s L Factor

Ballina Town Council will launch the L Factor, its anti-litter awareness initiative tonight (Friday ) in the Sports and Leisure Centre at 6.30pm.

The competition is open to primary schools which are asked to submit an anti-litter song or rap. The competition is open to all classes but only one entry per school is permitted. The minimum group size is 10 children with no maximum size. Songs/raps must refer to litter and Ballina and must not exceed four minutes. The use of instruments and or backing music is allowed.

There are fantastic prizes on offer, the first prize being €500 to the winning school. The second placed school will receive €250 while the third placed school will receive €150.

Billy the Bird will be attending tonight’s launch along with Mayor Mary Kelly, Damien Hanley, and Olwyn Murray.
