Mayo students highly commended at Young Scientist exhibition

Mayo students took home two highly commended awards at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in the RDS Dublin.

In the senior category St Gerald College students Padraig Condon and Kevin Barry were highly commended for their project entitled 'How to predict what a die will land on'. The project category was chemical, physical and mathematical sciences.

In the junior category St Joseph Secondary School students Jacqueline Brennan and Katie Dunleavy were highly commended for their project 'Equine birth patterns: Does the moon play a role?'. The category was biological and ecological.
