Achill Coast Guard came to the assistance of two kayakers who got into distress on the island.
The coast guard was alerted at 1.45pm on Wednesday, August 4, that a wave had capsized one of the kayakers and assistance was required to get them back to shore safely.
The Achill Coast Guard launched a D-Class boat from Dugort Pier and brought the kayaker back to dry land and they were able to stand down the operation at 3.30pm.
