Claremorris Folk Festival gearing up for a great weekend

Some of the country’s biggest artists will once again descend on Claremorris for the Claremorris Folk Festival which is set to take place over the May bank holiday weekend.

The Stunning, Villagers, Ye Vagabonds, John Blek and Katherine Priddy are just some of the outstanding artists that will perform on the main stage located in a giant marquee at the back of Warde's pub. A second stage in Gilligan's bar will host some of the best emerging artists from across the region while a third stage in Market Square (funded through the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme ) will feature Billow Wood, Mega Trad, Rowlette, Alan Jordan, Niall Fahey and Ruttlemush.

As the entertainment industry comes out of hibernation after being shut down for over two years due to the pandemic, the folk festival will provide a perfect opportunity for music lovers to immerse themselves in live music one again in an intimate, family friendly setting.

An abundance of delicious handmade treats, as well as beautiful arts and crafts will be available from a large range of local traders who will take up residence in Market Square. Come along and enjoy the great atmosphere, live music and see what you can discover.
