FF’s Caulfield campaign launch

Fianna Fáil’s John Caulfield has launched his election campaign in the Swinford electoral area. A native of Kilmovee but now living in Kilkelly, a town starved of council representation since the 1960s, John’s campaign launch was well attended with endorsements from outgoing MEP Sean O Neachtain, Senator John Carty, Dara Calleary TD and former ICMSA President Pat O’Rourke.

Mr Caulfield spoke of his commitment to the decentralisation process which will bring jobs and a cash injection to the local Charlestown and wider community. He also maintained that his extensive record in several community projects will give him the confidence to do even more as an elected representative.

Mr Caulfield’s community involvement is wide ranging and includes organising back to work schemes as well as adult education and retraining programmes. He has also served as chairperson of Kilmovee Shamrocks Bord na nÓg. His involvement with Carracastle Dramatic Society and Comhaltas Ceoltóiri Éireann are other strings to his bow.

John is married to Mary (nee Kenny of Curhavnaugh, Aughamore ) and has five children. He can be contacted at Swinford Road, Kilkelly, 087 313 4446 or [email protected].
