Nominations are open for the Erris Person of the Year 2019. The Erris Person of the Year Award was instituted to honour individuals who have served their community and who through their actions have inspired others. The nominee may not necessarily be resident in Erris but must be living within Ireland.
The Erris Exile of the Year Award is open to persons born in Erris and who are now resident outside of Ireland, who have distinguished themselves by exceptional achievement, whether through charitable, philanthropic or sporting endeavours, or notable commitment to the place of their birth. Awards host, Belmullet/Erris Lions Club, is aware of the many deserving Erris persons, at home and abroad who should be lauded and recognised for their achievements
A full resume of the endeavours and achievements of nominees must accompany nominations. The 2019 awards ceremony will be held at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet on Friday, April 5 at 7.30pm
