Top writer Nora Roberts for Ashford Castle event

One of the most successful novellists in the world, Nora Roberts, is coming to Mayo to host an afternoon tea at the castle that inspired some of her latest work.

Ms Roberts, who has written more than 200 books, has sold a staggering 450 million novels worldwide and featured on The Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller list.

This year, she was revealed to be the third bestselling author of the 21st century, just behind James Patterson and JK Rowling.

Fans of Ms Roberts now have the chance to enjoy an audience and afternoon tea with the author in Ashford Castle in Cong on Sunday August 17 at 2 pm.

The event is presented by Little, Brown Book Group in assocation with the Town Hall Theatre, Galway.

Ms Roberts, who also writes as JD Robb, recently drew inspiration from Cong’s medieval castle for her Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy.

Readers will have the chance to ask Ms Roberts questions while enjoying a sumptiuous afternoon tea.

Readers are asked not to bring books from home as books will be available to buy and readers will be able to get those books signed by the author.
