Hughie O’Donoghue exhibition ends tomorrow

The Hughie O’Donoghue, north Mayo retrospect featuring selected works from his public and private collections 1990-2010 is now coming to an end in the Ballina Arts Centre. Don’t miss your last chance to see this wonderful exhibition of landscapes, in painting and print, inspired by the spectacular scenery around Bangor Erris. The exhibition runs until tomorrow and admission is free.

Crotty and O’Donnell exhibition in Castlebar

Friday week, July 1, sees the opening of Remnant, a joint exhibition of paintings and mixed media work by Aidan Crotty and Conor O’Donnell at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar.

Artists Conor O’Donnell and Aidan Crotty met during a residency in Kerry in 2009. Both Fine Art graduates of Crawford College in Cork, they share some common threads in their subject matter but differ in their approach toward painting processes and practice.

Coffee morning in TF Royal

The TF Royal Hotel is holding a coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday June 25, for Operation Smile and invites all parents in the locality to call in for a cuppa and a catch up all in aid of a good cause.

Bumps, Babies and Buggies is a coffee morning with a difference. It is an opportunity to meet friends old and new, relax over a coffee and talk the baby talk, while at the same time raising funds to support Operation Smile’s efforts to provide surgery for children with facial deformity in the developing world. Dust Busters to hit Westport Folk and Bluegrass festival

Brooklyn-based old time string band The Dust Busters will be playing the Wyatt Hotel on Saturday night coming June 25 as part of the Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival. The Dust Busters are stopping off in Westport where they will be playing tracks from their new album, Prohibition is a Failure and an exciting folk and bluegrass show is sure to be in store.
