HSE Forum to move members’ questions further up agenda at O’Malley’s request

Fine Gael county councillor and member of the HSE West Forum Cllr Austin Francis O’Malley hit out a meeting of the forum this week about how long it took to get to the item on the agenda which dealt with questions submitted by the members.

“I’m bitterly disappointed that none of the questions I had asked had been answered at the last meeting,” the Louisburgh based councillor told the November meeting of the forum. “I had to leave at 5pm, and we hadn’t got near the questions and answers. You then have to go back to your constituency and people ask you how did you get on and you have to tell them that you didn’t get to the questions.”

Chairperson of the forum Cllr Padraig Conneely agreed with Cllr O’Malley. “There was a lot of debate at the previous meeting about the HSE finances, but this is something that we should get moved up the agenda to fourth on the agenda from now on,” Cllr Conneely said. “There are a lot of questions that each member here wants to have answers on and we should move it up from the next meeting on.”
