Castlebar man shaving dreads for charity

Eoin Heverin, son of Paul and Joy Heverin (The Irish House ), is to bravely chop off his full head of dreadlocks, which he has grown for the last decade, in aid of two charities.

The Western Alzheimer’s and Mayo Cancer Support Association (Rock Rose House ) will benefit from Eoin’s shave on Saturday July 24.

The 30-year-old will cut off one dreadlock in each of Castlebar’s (participating ) hairdressers/barbers (he has 47 dreadlocks ). Eoin will also cycle 60km and climb Croagh Patrick.

If you would like to sponsor Eoin, sponsorship cards can be found in all of Castlebar’s (participating ) hairdressers and barbers and in the Irish House Bar and Heverin Photography, Castlebar; or:www.mycharity.ie/event/charity_dreadlock_cut.
