Council grants extension to Bellanaboy planning permission
Mayo Advertiser, October 23, 2009.
Mayo County Council has granted an application by Shell E&P Ireland Limited (SEPIL) for an extension to the planning permission for the construction of a gas terminal at Bellanaboy and for works at the Shramore peat deposition site.
The original planning permission expired on October 21 2009 and an application to extend the duration was submitted to the council on behalf of SEPIL, prior to the expiry date.
Welcoming the decision, Brendan Butler, Bellanaboy bridge terminal project manager, said the extension to May 2012 would allow, in the main, for the completion of the site-landscaping programme.
