Galway ploughing all set for Loughgeorge on Sunday

The County Galway Ploughing Championships takes place on Easter Sunday , March 27, at Rouanmore, Loughgeorge, with a big turnout expected.

It is nearly 15 years since the County Ploughing Championships were held in that part of Galway and the organisers are indebted to John McDonagh, Paddy Joe Kirrane, James and Eileen Burke of the Lackagh Club who are hosting the event.

The competitors are eager to take part on these lands which are in lea. The winners will amass points along with points from the club matches to see who will represent the county in the All-Ireland.

A big day looks assured with sheepdog trials, loy digging and plenty of attractions for children. For more information please contact: 086 057 6117
