New academy recruits

Seven new players have been recruited to the NUIG Connacht Rugby Academy for the next season.

Three players, prop Conan O'Donnell (Sligo ), back row Stephen McVeigh (Buccaneers ) and lock Cian Romaine (Buccaneers ) were involved in Ireland u-20s in both the IRB 6 Nations and World Rugby Championship last season, while back Cormac Brennan, prop Conor Kyne and scrum half Conor Lowndes (all Galwegians ) and hooker Pat O'Toole (Corinthians ) will join Nigel Carolan's Academy .

Eoghan Masterson, Ultan Dillane and Caolin Blade have graduated to the senior squad this season after earning valuable game time in the Guinness PRO12 and European Challenge Cup last year.  The seven year one recruits, join 13 players - James Connolly (back row ), Jamie Dever (TH Prop ), Saba Meunargia (TH prop ), Rory Moloney (backrow ), Sean O'Brien (backrow ), Rory Parata (centre ), Jacob Walshe (LH prop ) (year three ) and Shane Delahunt (hooker ), Jack Dineen (hooker ), Ciaran Gaffney(back ), Marc Kelly (back row ), Conor McKeon (outhalf ), Peter Robb (centre ) (year two ).
