Cuddy calls for immediate action on ‘dangerous bend’ at Clarinbridge

Urgent action is needed to improve visibility and safety as on the “dangerous bend” outside Clarinbridge, on the Oranmore side, according to Independent county councillor Jim Cuddy.

Cllr Cuddy is calling on the Galway County Council to take immediate action in relation to road.

“It is highly dangerous for vehicles coming from the Athenry Road onto the N18 trying to turn right towards Oranmore because of poor visibility at this junction,” he said. “With days now getting shorter, visibility is reducing even more and the problem is even worse for long vehicles.”

Cllr Cuddy has contacted Frank Gilmore, the county council’s Director of Services for Roads and Transportation that this junction be reviewed and “action taken to improve visibility and safety as a matter of urgency”.
