Niall McGarry, CEO and founder of Joe.ie and Her.ie, will speak at the next Online Marketing in Galway meeting on August 27 at 7pm in the Harbour Hotel. Fintan Finnan from the Digital Marketing Institute will also address the event.

Each speaker will offer a different insight and perspective into online marketing.

Niall McGarry will start the evening with a presentation on ‘Agency to Publisher’. Fintan Finnan, digital marketing consultant at Digital Marketing Institute, will give a talk entitled ‘Digital Marketing Evolution’. The night will finish with some tea, coffee, and networking.

Mr McGarry is an Irish media entrepreneur and the owner and founder of JOE.ie and Her.ie, the largest male and female-focused websites in Ireland. Maximum Media, the new umbrella company founded by McGarry, owns and runs both sites and has plans to roll out a number of new online titles in the coming years.

Mr McGarry has always had a flair for business and ran many mini business ventures while still at school in Castlebar in the 1990s. After graduating in 2002 with a degree in marketing management, he worked for just over a year in advertising sales for a newspaper in Galway city before founding Impact Media.

Having achieved huge success and having grown the company to a 20-strong workforce, McGarry sold this business to Cork company H+A Marketing and PR in 2011. He then moved to Dublin to fully concentrate his energies on JOE.ie

Niall McGarry originally created JOE.ie in 2010, providing an online outlet for Irish males with an interest in areas such as sport, tech, entertainment, motors, and fashion and, having steadily established a fan base in the last three years, the site now attracts 1.1 million unique visitors a month.

That figure is set to increase further following the launch of new JOE, the new look responsive version of the site which delivers content in its most optimised format whether viewed on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. Her.ie is following suit.

Fintan Finnan is a corporate training consultant and digital marketing enthusiast at Digital Marketing Institute. The Digital Marketing Institute is dedicated to educating professionals in the field of digital marketing to ensure career growth and competitiveness in a global jobs market.

The event is supported by the Harbour Hotel, Galway.

Online Marketing in Galway will also officially launch its new site at the end of the month.
